The last in the series of BMC/Cambridge Harriers Open meetings for the season, saw an impressive turnout of 27 club members for the club’s open and five for the BMC races, all competing in a total of 35 events.

Zafirah (30) heading for a win and PB with Ciara (26) (100m race 3)

Main highlights were PBs for Zafirah Alebiosu, Gabriella Noyce and Elijah Olaleye over 100m, Fuad Busoir over 400m, Aidan Ward (800m), Holly Dixon (1500m), Luke Ford (5000m) and Hannah Bridge (Shot). This was all the more impressive for the sprinters as they raced against a significant headwind on the home straight.

There were also season’s best performances from Sabrina Sinha, Wole Odele, Matthew Preston and Ian McCarthy in the 800m races as well as for Kate Curran over 1500m. Sabrina missed out on a PB by just 0.02s and Wole by 0.23s.
