There were 5 PB’s set this night, and 4 first time events with little or no prep beforehand. Susan Dixon got a PB in the 100m and 800m whilst sister Sally set a PB in her 100m also. It was her first time in the 800m and shot so we could say two PB’s there too!
First timer Carol Marsh set herself some bench marks for the rest of the season, don’t think she has ever completed on the track before but her bubbly personality and infectious willingness to have a go meant she fitted in well with the rest of the CH Team. Carol took part in the 100m and Javelin, despite the heaver javelin to that of her age group she managed 4th position against some tough throwers.
Two PB’s out of the field, one from Maria MacDonald in the W60’s shot, and a massive PB in the W50’s Shot for Jenny Agyepong, this gave us our win of the night, Jenny also had a go at the javelin for the first time which I’m sure can be improved with a bit of training!
Ros, a W65! did amazingly in the younger W50’s age group finishing 800m – well done Team Manager Ros who took over whilst Chris Bond was cycling round Jersey.
