Earlier this month over 30 of the club's road runners ran in the Big Half, many taking advantage of the heavily discounted community places that we had been awarded. Lead performances were a massive PB of 70:18 from Bobby Babaker and a 77:30 from Holly Dixon in her first ever half marathon.
There were also a number of single figure age category places: Susan Dixon 2nd F55, Amy Smith 7th F45, Jonathan Idowu 5th M17+ and last but not least Keith Dungate 1st M75. Here is what Keith had to say about it: No podium, no bunch of flowers, no cup, no cheque only the satisfaction of winning a steward's enquiry after initially being placed 3rd behind two guys who were found to be in their 30's!

Two weeks later and it was the turn of the Larkfield 10k which incorporated the Kent Championships. Sue Dixon was again 2nd in her age category.
Results: 78th Tom Coghill 43:18, 91st Susan Dixon 44:12, 120th Graham Maynard 46:03, 133rd Sally Carr 46:55, 186th Ian McCarthy 51:26.
