THE PINGLES STADIUM, NUNEATON
Two days after the Bromley Twilight Invitational, Sabrina Sinha travelled up the M1 to the Nuneaton Open meeting, organised by Birchfield Harriers but this time to compete in the 800m A race (please see race link below). After tackling the high winds at Bromley on Friday, Nuneaton had high winds combined with torrential rain but it was fortunately dry by the time Sabrina raced. There was no pacemaker to help set the pace and Sabrina had to take the race on from the gun to try and get a fast time. She left the field behind from the start and went past the bell in 61 seconds increasing her pace to win strongly by a clear 7 seconds in another personal best time and British Champs qualifying time of 2.05.31. Although she could now potentially double up in the 800m and 1500m at the British Champs she will just concentrate on the 1500m. Video of Sabrina's race can be seen here.
