Three of the clubs Under 13 middle distance athletes decided to test their comfort zones by competing in the Kent Pentathlon Championships held in Tonbridge on August Bank Holiday.
Iris Williams, Sophia Pawa and Josh Wellings acquitted themselves well over the first four events (70/75m hurdles, HJ, LJ, SP) in their respective competition. Coming into the final event, the 800m's, Iris and Sophia were placed 5th and 8th respectively out of 15 in the girls event and Josh 7th out of 24 in the boy's event.
With superior 800m PBs than most of the other competitors all three improved their final finish positions with both Iris and Josh claiming silver medals and Sophia finishing an excellent 6th.

All ended the day feeling very tired but pleased with their performances.
