Blackheath & Bromley Open Series

9 club athletes made the short trip to Norman Park for the penultimate meeting in the open series on a fairly still evening with the temperature steady at about 20°C.

Vitor Costa marked his first appearance at Norman Park with a PB in the Discus (27.67m) and Tim Carter got a season’s best in the 400m (65.48) as he chased after Doug Lucas (65.06) in the same heat. There were also notable performances by Judah Chike-Michael in the 100m (12.05), Wole Odele (57.60 over 400m) and Kody Powell in the 200m A race (22.61). Other Harriers competing included Lara Atkinson and Lucy Marlow in the same heat of the 800m, and Orla Stanczyk over 75m.
