Southern Athletics League, Sutcliffe Park (Sun. 20th Jun.) - Report by Mick Bond

The senior team had its’ first outing in the Southern Athletics League at Sutcliffe on Sunday. A new points system based on performance rather than positions is being trialled this season and at the end of the day we finished in a solid 3rd place not too far behind Blackheath and Bexley but ahead of Kent AC and London City. New team managers Omari Markland-Montgomery and Bonnie Britto-Costa got the teams together and highlights included a storming last 100 by Ed Adigwe to nip the men’s 800 A string in a PB of 2:02.27, a 800/1500 double by Holly Dixon as part of her preparation for a fast 5000m at the club’s Open meeting on Wednesday (23rd) night and return to the circle for Andy Kruszewski who despite now being over 60 still managed a 35.74m discus and 10.30m shot put.
