Weekly round up

Updated: Jan 11, 2022

The new year got off to a good start with a number of club members competing indoors at Lee Valley on Jan. 2nd. Elijah Olaleye showed the benefit of regular training as he set PB’s in both the 60 (8.41) and 200m (27.80) whilst older sister Keziah had her first outing over 300m indoors (44.01). Another Under 15 running well was Emily Cadman who’s 200m of 26.67 easily beat her outdoor PB from last summer. Fuad Busoir and Shaquille Fernandez-Folkes worked on their race craft over 400 with Fuad starting too slow and Shaquille a bit too fast, both recorded decent times however (54.39 and 53.65 respectively) and will get faster as the winter goes on.

Outdoors there was a good win for 15 year old Aiden Williams at the Sutcliffe Park Parkrun in 18:15 whilst at Danson Park James Macdonald won in 17:10 but most impressive of all was probably James’ mum Maria who’s 165th place was actually her 400th Parkrun - amazing

Maria Macdonald, 400 Parkruns and enjoying her running as always
