Derek Crooke Southern U13s Inter County Match
Well done to the clubs under 13s athletes who were selected and took part in the Derek Crookes Southern U13s inter county match on Saturday 28 July at Kingsmeadow, earning their Kent County vests and I’m sure gaining great experience on the day. Ashlynn Madumere was selected for shot put and threw 8.71m earning a new PB and 3rd placing, Cerys Daniels ran the 70mh and came 4th in her race with a time of 13.03 and James Barnes ran the 800m and came 6th with a time of 2.32.29. Well done to all.
Club Connect Relay Championships – Muller Anniversary Games
A fantastic well done to the U13s boys relay team for earning a place at this very prestigious event held at the Muller Anniversary Games on the 22nd July (Dontay, Tomisin, Ben and Dayo) whereby the top 10 teams in the country are selected and invited to take part. Well done for getting selected in the first place and for coming away with a new PB, what a great experience and also great chance to see some of the country’s top athletes in action. Well done boys.
Dartford Opens
This was attended by Kacey Walters who took part in the triple jump for the first time, and where she managed to gain 3rd place in the U15s section with a very creditable jump of 9.91m, Kacey also took part in the shot put event coming 1st place with a throw of 10.02m, (not quite her PB of 10.22 but getting closer)
