The Mondo track at the Olympic stadium's warm-up track is reputed to be one of the fastest in the country, so it wasn't too surprising to see 13 club members turn up for the latest of NEB's track opens - they were involved in a total of 22 track races. They also got the opportunity to mingle with lots of elite GB sprinters on a day when the stadium track record for 100m, got broken (10.04s).

Highlights were PBs for Bobby Babaker in the 800m (2:03.49), Raphael Akinbolu (13.58s) in the 100m and Jack Ebanks (23.78s) over 200m. Derin Aderinto also equalled her legal electronic PB in the 100m, whilst Doug Lucas recorded a 200m season's best.

Immanuel Jegede was by far the busiest athlete with 4 runs, including a 400m sandwiched in-between the first and second 100m rounds, before rounding off with a 300m.
