With the eyes of the sporting world fully focused on the scorching streets of London, three Cambridge Harriers opted for a different type of challenge at a hot and windy Medway Park track in Gillingham, on Sunday afternoon.
The highlight of the afternoon was a PB for Kody Powell in the 400m A-race, coming first in 50.22 seconds on his 3rd attempt at the distance this season. Matteo Okogie, making his first outdoor appearance of the season recorded times of 11.35s and 11.51s in two 100m rounds on either side of the 800m races. Wole Odele got another season’s best in the 800m A-race, finishing in 2:20.99.
