London Hurdles & MD Open

NORMAN PARK, BROMLEY Sunday, Oct 11, 2020

An all track open on the second Sunday of October saw 17 Harriers amongst the competition-hungry 401 entries. Hurdlers and race walkers have been the most deprived of track competition in their specialist disciplines this peculiar season, so it was no surprise to see 5 club members amongst the 12 competing in the 2k Walk. They exerted some dominance in occupying the top 3 places. Cambridge Harriers also made up 6 of the 160 entries for the 800m and 5 of the 120 entries for the 1500m.

Further highlights were PBs for the 3 fastest race walkers (Luc Legon, Christian Hopper and Hannah Hopper) Abigail Richards (top image) in the 800m, as well as Amelia Lawrence in the 1500m. There were also season's bests for Ian McCarthy over 800m and for Matthew Preston and Isabella Richards in the 1500m races.
