There was a significant Cambridge turn out for the 43rd Dartford Half, in what must be described as quite breezy conditions, and there were some magnificent results. Of the 755 finishers Danny Kendall was outstanding and won the very hilly event in 1:13:18. He was followed in by Dave Worden (11th), Mark Penny (28th), Luke Ford (45th) and Clem Dixon (54th). There were some other good performances from Catherine Martin, 8th senior female, Steve Brown, 1st M60 and Peter Hadley, 1st M70. The two-generation ‘Flying Fords’ again boosted the numbers and put in very solid efforts to round off what was an excellent overall Cambridge performance. At time of report the team results have yet to be published.
There was a slight hiccup in the listing of the results with Clem being listed as a Horsham Jogger, much to his dislike as he’s never in his life been described as any form of a jogger! If you ran, entered as a Harrier and were not properly credited then please email brown.stephen@ntlworld.com for inclusion.
