Cross Country training day

Updated: Oct 11, 2021

A cross country training day was held in Joydens Woods on Saturday in order to prepare our young athletes for the cross country season. 17 in total made at least one of the two sessions.

The morning session consisted of repetitions over an 800m undulating route with most completing six reps in total.

It was then back to the club house in Bexley for a well deserved lunch break.

The afternoon session consisted of hill repetitions with a total of one mile up hill. The day concluded with a mixed relay in teams of three over a short course lasting for 12 minutes.

We had great weather for the day and it was also a good opportunity for parents our young athletes to visit our headquarters in Bexley.

The athletes are hopefully sharp and ready for the first Cross Country meet on Saturday 16th October at Swanley Park.
