Bromley Twilight Invitational

Updated: Sep 7, 2020

NORMAN PARK, BROMLEY

On Friday 21st August, Mark Hookway and Tonbridge Athletics Club organised a superb night of high quality racing at the Bromley Twilight Invitational Meet. Two Cambridge Harriers Athletes Competed. First up was Sabrina Sinha in the 1500m A race. As there were 6 athletes there was no room for a pacemaker under Covid restrictions but the field was stacked with International athletes most notably GB international Jess Judd. Sabrina found herself out in front for the first 300m before Jess took control of the race. Sabrina spent the next 3 laps battling elbow to elbow with Beth Kidger and finished in 3rd with a new Pb time of 4.16.71. Holly Dixon was next up in the 3000m B race. Holly made her intentions clear from the gun and shadowed the pace maker for almost the entire race, opening up a convincing lead which the other athletes were unable to close. She won in a very respectable personal best of 9.46.30.

It should also be noted that Phil Pape was one of the officials that helped make the evening a success!
