British Masters Championships

Moorways Stadium Derby Friday 1 Sep - Sunday 3 Sep, 2023


Three club members made the long trip to Derby for the National Championships, winning 5 medals from competing in a total of 11 events.

3 Bronze medals for Natalie


Wole Odele peaked just in time for the championships with season's bests in all his 3 events, narrowly missing out on gold medals by just 0.02s in a nail-biting finish of the M55 400m (56.97s), and by 4cm in the Triple Jump competition, improving on the club's M55 record with a best leap of 10.60m. Wole also achieved a season's best of 12.83s [+0.1m/s] in the 100m.

2 Silver Medals for Wole


Natalie Mann was the busiest of the 3 Harriers, competing in all 5 throwing events and rewarded with 3 bronze medals in the hammer (33.88m), javelin (21.58m) and weight throw. Her weight throw of 9.97m was also a season's best.


Peter Wishart competed in 3 events, achieving season's bests in both the shot-put (10.61m) and weight-throw (12.41m)
