British Masters Athletic Federation Track and Field Championships

Moorways Stadium, Derby 20th-22nd August 2021


The BMAF Track and Field championships, which took place at Moorways Stadium, Derby 20th to 22nd August, saw seven Cambridge Harriers taking part. Between them they managed to scoop five Gold, three Silver medals, and a Bronze medal. There were PBs, seasons bests and significantly British records, and a No.1 European ranking.


Let’s begin with the ladies. Natalie Mann (W35) Silver in the discus, with a PB. She also collected a Bronze in the weight throw, and another PB.

Wole Odele (M55) 400m Gold, and long jump Silver. Wole’s 400m performance places him top of the European rankings! Huge well done to Wole.


Warwick Dixon (M85) hammer Gold, discus Gold, javelin Gold, weight throw Gold, shot put Gold. In all of those performances Warwick achieved either a PB or a season’s best. From competitions earlier in the season, and this past weekend performances, Warwick now holds all the British titles and British records for the five throws. fantastic achievement by Warwick.

Congratulations also to Edmund Adigwe (M45): Silver in the 800, and 4th in the 1500.


Also competing in the championships were Matthew Preston (M45) 800 and 1500; and Peter Wishart discus, shot put, and weight throw.


Good performances by Dave Robinson (M40, 2nd claim): steeplechase Silver, and 400H Bronze.
