Blackheath & Bromley Open Series

10 Cambridge Harriers made the short trip to Norman Park for the June fixture of the open series, competing in a total of 12 track, and 2 field events. Highlights were season’s bests for Doug Lucas (13.93s, 100m & 28.65s, 200m), Tim Carter (14.34s, 100m), Katie Marsh (15.74s, 100m) and Wole Odele (57.88s, 400m).

Heat 6 of the 200m saw 4 Cambridge Harriers pitted against each other, with Doug the first Harrier home, just ahead of Tim, Kacey Walters and Cleo Agyepong.

There was a first outing of the season over 100m for Doyin Aderinto, for Ros Tabor over 1500m and Matthew Preston had his first outdoor test over 800m.  In the field, Kacey had a best jump of 1.5m in an unconventional High Jump competition whilst Natalie Mann had a best of 24.91m in the Hammer Throw.
