With a bargain pre-entry price of £6 for 2 rounds of 100m, it was no surprise that the short sprint was the most popular event amongst the 7 Harriers who made the short trip to Norman Park on Monday evening. It was a good evening for all with everyone either setting a new PB, or achieving a season’s best time.

Myles Duffus was the only CH winner on the night, recording his 3rd 400m PB of the season (55.34) as he was pushed all the way down the home straight by the fast-finishing Blackheath athlete. Louis Woods knocked over 8 seconds off his previous best to record a time of 2:14.25 in his first 800m outing of the season. Ezekiel Akinsola also got a PB in the first round of 100m (11.85s)  There were also season-best times for Wole Odele (12.78) and Tim Carter (14.52) in the short sprint, and, for Matthew Preston in the 1500m (4:45.87), with Wade Thompson also equaling his legal season’s best (11.15) in finishing second in round 2 of the 100m A race.
