Three of the Clubs young race walkers contested the National Young Age Group Race Walking Championships, which incorporated the Inter-Counties championships, in ideal conditions in Coventry on Sunday. Two came away as National and Inter-County Champions.
Christian Hopper clocked 15:30, knocking 52 seconds from his road best for 3km to take the under 15 boys titles.
Alex Macheath made his debut over 5km in the under 17 men’s race, recording an outstanding 25:42, taking gold nearly two minutes ahead of the silver medallist.
In the under 17 women’s 5km Hannah Hopper took bronze in 31:13.
