Our 3rd YDL Match of the season saw us on our home turf at Sutcliffe Park, with some good stand-out performances and great PBs and placings throughout the day, which saw us come top of the under 15s girls division, and despite there being quite a few gaps in some of the field events. Â Well done to Asmara and Cleo for both gaining two new PBs each in their respective events, and well done also to Chichi on her debut competing for the club in the league matches for the first time, (and for jumping into the hammer to cover for points), along with Ailbhe who jumped into the high jump B string to cover and who ended up clearing a creditable 1.35m to come 2nd in the B string and earning valuable points for the team.
A special mention also goes out to Kacey for team spirit for not wanting to let her team down for points and competing at this event despite having competed the day before at the Kent Schools inter counties match, and at two other competitions during the week, and managing to come 1st in the high jump and 1st in the B string shot put to gain valuable points.
