Kent County AA 3000m/10000m Championships, Dartford (Wed. 11th June)

Four age-group medals at the Kent County 3000m championships held in Central Park, Dartford last Wednesday. Amelia Lawrence (U20 - 10:14.1s) and Meredith Cummins (U17W - 10:59.7s) finished first and second women overall, both recording personal bests. Rose Baker (W60 - 13:03.7s) took gold in her age group and Mick Ellsmore (M70 - 14:36.4s) bronze in his.


Brett Baker finished fourth in the 10,000m in 33:55.0s.

Dartford Harriers AC June Open, Dartford (Wed. 11th June)

Congratulations to Warwick Dixon who established a new British Master M90 record in the shot with a throw of 7.24m and Natalie Mann who set an new W40 hammer club record with 34.39m.

Southern Counties Veterans League (Kent) #2, Dartford (Fri. 13th June)

The women's team recorded their second match win, collecting eight individual wins on the night.


Wins came in the W35 javelin where Natalie Mann (W40) set a new age group club record of 21.94m, in the 200m from - Joanna Parke (W35A - 34.40s) and Rose Baker (W35B - 35.49s), who dropped down two age groups. The ladies swept the board in the 1500m - Lucy Marlow (W35A - 5:24.19s), Maggie Illingworth (W35B - 6:01.39s), Julie Backley (W50 - 5:51.92s) and Rose Baker (W60 - 6:07.05s). Christine Bond won the W50 pole vault.

The men's team finished fifth and now sit fifth in the league after the first two matches, a point behind Ashford.


Chris Loudon (M40) and Wole Odele again recorded dominant wins in their respective events. Chris over 1500m in 4:04.73s and Wole in the M60 200m with 26.58s. A good performance by Matthew Preston second in the M50 1500m - 4:48.28 - in a very tight race.


Track Night Vienna, Vienna (AUT) (Sat. 14th June)

Holly Dixon produced another strong run continuing her fine form at the Track Night Vienna with a 5000m personal best of 15:41.85s.


Dutch Race Walking Championships, Tilburg (NED) (Sun. 15th June)

Second claim member Luc Legon, who has been side-lined with a foot injury, finished third overall in the 10km (47:56).
