The club’s second indoor 60’s promotion of the winter went well last Sunday with good feedback from coaches and athletes alike. The entry of 117 athletes was double what we had in December and there is still space to make the meeting even bigger as hopefully our reputation for a well organised meeting grows. Next event Sunday 3rd march two weeks before Kent indoor champs
Individually there was welcome return to competition for Under 20 Shiann Brock Walters running 8.09 in both her first and second rounds of the event. Prince Mulumba took a tenth of a second of his pb going from 7.29 to 7.19 to put himself in the UK top ten at the under 17 level. Under 13 girl Nuriah Orhurhu has a good first outing recording 8.84 whilst Amirat Mohammed Hassan also ran a pb of 8.57 in her second round race
