A bit of a reunion!

The power of the club to help make lifelong friendships was well demonstrated last weekend, writes Mick Bond. Despite being dispersed across the world a number of members, who’s running prime was 50 years ago, are still in touch and with Liz Barnes (GB 800m Olympian from Montreal in 1976) visiting from New Zealand it was good chance to meet up in person. Tea, cakes and reminiscences were the order of the day at the clubhouse.

Maidenhead Half Marathon (Sun. 26th Oct.)

The Maidenhead Half Marathon on Sunday, returned following a four-year break, held on a scenic and fast two-lap route, featuring a mix of town centre sections and countryside stretches.

All three club members who ran recorded personal bests. Alex Walker with 1:11:19 in 8th place, Daniel Allinson 1:22:14 and Tracy Brown 2:32:47.
