Nearly 100 teams entered the Reigate Priory Relays on 4th November 2017. Our first ladies’ team to enter this race in many years joined the two men’s teams to brave the course and the elements. After a very rainy night the course was muddy to say the least. Thankfully it had brightened up a bit by the time we set off on the hilly woodland course, each of the 3 runners completing 2.5 miles. A team from Epsom and Ewell Harriers won the ladies’ race in 48.53, their fastest runner having completed the course in a very fast 15.20.
Sally went off first, finishing in 22.30 and handing over to Susan E who achieved a time of 22.51. Sue D was our final runner, finishing in 20.18 and making the overall finish time 1.05.39, 27th place out of 44 women’s teams, not bad considering the age and race experience of the team!
