Sabrina Sinha won silver at this weekends English National XC championships, an improvement on last year.
She picked up an injury competing for GB in Edinburgh at the beginning of January 2016 and has missed a month of training so to finish at all, let alone second, was a relief. Unfortunately, the course was very hard going and on the second lap, as she was about to surge, she twisted her injured ankle going up a hill and she had to drop off the pace. She actually thought of dropping out of the race at one point as the pain took a while to settle over the uneven ground.
Give Sabrina her dues she battled on and closed the gap to 5 secs at the finish. Fortunately with treatment, 24 hrs later, she has hopefully made a full recovery.
