More Cambridge road running success in the Dartford Half

There were more strong performances for some of our athletes gearing up for spring marathons at last weekend’s Dartford Half Marathon.

Christian Poulton was the winner of the V50 category by 33 seconds, finishing in a time of 1:23.49 for 10th overall. Clem Dixon came home in 1:32.14 to take 1st in the V55 and 37th overall.

There were other good performances from Graham Maynard, 1:36.18 for 61st overall, Mick Ellsmore 1:42.17 (110th), Steve Smythe 1:45.03 (140th) and Steve Brown in 1:49.35 (195th).

Steve Smythe was back on the roads after recently completing the Sevilla Marathon in 2:56.21 to become the first marathoner to achieve a span of over 40 years between sub 3 hour marathons.

You can listen to the interview Steve gave on Marathontalk after his achievement here.
