Cambridge Harriers Xmas Handicap

A cold, December Sunday morning, saw an impressive turnout of 40 hardy runners taking part in the Club’s Christmas handicap. Along with volunteers, some 55 people attended the Christmas buffet which followed the race. Our Club President, Dave Reader, also attended.

Pride of place went to Holly Dixon, fastest woman in 21.23 and James Macdonald, fastest man in 18.35 over the 3.2 mile course. Keith Dungate led the race home after allowing for the handicap.

I am grateful to all the volunteers without whom the race would not have taken place. We raised an impressive £130 for the Club.

This year’s event was the best attended for 3 years, if you weren’t able to get along, try it next year.
