Bronze Medals For U17 Women At Kent Cross Country Champs

Our U17W team were our only medallists at Saturdays Kent Cross Country Championship. They were lead home by Lara Atkinson in 4th, backed up by Ella Newton 5th and Jess Oliver 13th.

Lara started conservatively running the first half with Ella but when she made her move she quickly pulled away and just failed to get up to third. However, she has guaranteed her selection for Kent at the Inter Counties in March.

In the U17M race Joshua Olawunmi continued his improvement with an excellent 5th place with Reece Miles having his best ever cross country performance in 13th. Tom Simpson was 23rd and Evan Chandler 37th the team just failed to make the medals in 4th.

In the U13G Ailbhe Barnes was 6th which considering she has been ill the last few weeks was another good run. Molly Powell was 44th, Claudia Tremble 48th and Katie Marsh 56th the team was 7th.

In the boys U13s Ethan Fiore lead the team home again in 22nd closely followed by Louis Woods in 23rd having a great return from a long injury lay off, Jack Adams 31st, Thomas Carbin 56th, Jude Taylor 59th, Liam Carr 60th, Theo Hafford Tear 66th, Reuben Chandler 67th and Freddie Nordgren 74th . They were 6th team. Others that ran were Lilly Newton 11th and Hannah Hopper 40th U15G, Antonay Thomas 51st U15B, Ciara Mitchell 24th and Monay Thomas 25th U17W, Molly Hawkins 11th & Sophie Fenner 14th U20W.

My runner of the day – Joshua closely followed by Lara and Reece and special mention for Louis.
