Welcome to our club
The club aims to promote the sport of athletics, providing services to its members and helping them and the club to compete at all levels from beginner to Olympian.
We are based in the Greenwich and Bexley Boroughs of South East London with a track base at Sutcliffe Park Athletics Track in Eltham and a clubhouse in Bexley Village. We have a membership of around 400 and active sections participating in Track and Field events, Cross Country, Fell Running, Road Running and Race Walking.
The club is a registered charity and is run by a team of dedicated volunteer coaches, team managers, officials and administrators.
The club was formed in 1890 and so is over 130 years old and helped many thousands of people enjoy the sport of athletics over this time. If you are interested in joining please fill in the enquiry form.
Daryll Neita and Ed Adigwe are the latest athletes of the month.
We all watched Daryll perform at the highest level during the Olympics where she became not only the 2nd British woman to break the 11 seconds barrier for 100 metres but also came back with her 2nd Olympic medal in the 4 x 100m, a bronze to match her achievement in the 2016 Rio games.
Daryll started with the club at the age of 12 training initially with Alan Pautard at Ladywell and then Mick Bond at Sutcliffe, during which time she won the English School in a championship best of 11.65 which still stands. Now based in Florida training under Rana Reider alongside Adam Gemili, but still trains at Sutcliffe when back in the UK.
In July, Ed became the top ranked V45 in the country for 400m with an incredible time of 54.11 seconds in a meeting at Woodford. He also currently ranked 2nd in his age group for 800m.
