The senior women at Somerhill

Updated: Oct 9, 2020

We had been lulled into a false sense of security on the last two occasions at Somerhill by the sunny conditions and it was momentarily dry at the start of this years outing. However, the heavens opened as the women were out on the traditionally challenging course. Again the stand out performance came from Holly Dixon with an excellent third place. Hayley Newman also ran well for 30th place and the team of three was made by Sue Dixon in 37th. So we were able to hold on to our 2nd place in the team of three rolling competition. Once again the vets did us proud with Christine Bond, Rose Dixon and Sally Carr making up the team of six – 2nd at Somerhill and so we remain second overall in the standings. Although obviously not a senior woman but a competitor in the same race Keith Dungate was a winner in the wet t-shirt competition!
