Mike, Paris, Abdela and Wole (M35 4x200m)

A very solid performance saw us finish 3rd overall, 8 points ahead of Blackheath in 4th, with a season’s position of 4th which means of course that we remain in Division 1. Excellent all round efforts included: Wole Odele - a SB of 12.9s in 100m M50 for 3rd and another SB of 4.93m M50 in the long jump to win the event, not too far away from his PB - another super effort. A constant inspiration to all CH vets as he continues to expand his athletic horizons.

Neb - M35 800m A-string

Paris Hunt- a very solid 14.0s in the 100m M60 to win the event and SBs in the Discus M50 - 25.88m to finish 3rd and M60 long jump to finish 2nd with a jump of 4.33m. Again Paris’s competitive skills on a variety of events never ceases to impress. Neb Jovanovic- very good performances in the M35 800m - 3rd with 2:07.1 in a highly competitive race and 4th with 13.3s in M35B 100m in an event that he is not at all familiar with.

Abdela and Wole in M35 and M50 Long Jump

Abdela Kelifa - a new vet and club member, who distinguished himself in the M35 100m with an impressive time of 12.1s to gain 3rd place and first ever attempt at long jump with 4.81m to gain 4th place in M35 event. A good talent for the future. Steven Marlow - an excellent winning performance in the M35 Discus with a SB of 37.14m and a new M35 club record for the 2kg Discus. Again, a real ongoing talent. Mention must also be made of James Macdonald M35B 800m 3rd place, Peter Wishart M60 Discus 2nd place and a game Ian McCarthy who was running in M50 800m as M65 to gain 2 points for the team, despite also racing earlier in the day at Serpentine's Last Friday of the month 5k. Also, the relay team ran a creditable 4th in the 4x200m. Lastly solid efforts in the non-scoring included Mike Pape, Con Serugo and Tim Carter in the 100m and Raymond Ramsay in the 800m. Again, super effort lads
