STRETFORD
BMC Trafford on 11/8/20 was the first meet post Covid 19 restrictions to be lifted to offer 1500m races in near normal race conditions (only the field was restricted to 5 athletes and 1 pacemaker). Sabrina was fortunate to be offered a place in the B race. She sat in with the field for the majority of the race until 400m where she then started to chase the other athletes down. From 300m she turned on her trademark speed and power and on the final 50m she was closing fast on the eventual winner, Gemma Kersey who won in 4.16.34. Sabrina finished in 2nd in 4.17.17, her first PB since her illness was diagnosed in 2016. This time is also well within the qualifying time for the Müller British Championships on the 4th and 5th September in Manchester for which she has been subsequently been invited to compete... obviously she has accepted!
