This year's competition introduced a new trial format with track races seeded on entry times rather than by age-groups, medal positions for each gender age category were then decided on a time-trial basis.  This resulted in a few closer races than usual, including mixed races, one of which pitted husband vs wife. The Championships featured 6 Harriers competing in a total of 9 events.
